Second Entry Aurora Wings Challenge #27: Say It With Flowers

This is my second entry to Aurora Wings's #27 Challenge. I fell in love with the Miyabi digital stamp at first sight. It is the most beautiful drawing of a geisha. I used Spectrum Noir markers to color it and added sparkle with silver Wink of Stella marker. I decided to make it a simple card to keep the attention to the image. A black mat against an embossed sakura red background makes a bold statement.

Aurora Wings Challenge #27 Say It With Flowers

This is the entry for Challenge #27 Say It With Flowers. I'm loving the center step cards. I learned how to make them watching youtube videos. For this tropical flower themed card, I used Spirit of Hibiscus from Aurora Wings. I supplemented with stamps by Hero Arts. I overlapped an embossed palm tree design in vellum over the picture to add more dimension and interest.

Art by Miran April Progressive Challenge

This cute fairy digi stamp is by Art by Miran. The color inspiration for her hair comes from my friend's daughter Julia who has black hair with teal ends. Her hair is also short like the fairy's. I entered this card in Art by Miran's facebook April Progressive challenge.

Aurora Wings Make a Wish Challenge #26

This post is for the Aurora Wings Make A Wish Challenge Blog. After several years taking a break from making cards, I'm actively making cards again. I recently discovered digital stamps and am enjoying coloring the artwork of many artists such as Aurora Wings. I used her beautiful Chinese wedding image. I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the image, some gold glitter glue, and clear Wink of Stella to add some shine. I used flower dies from Stampin' Up and Sizzix. Embossing folders are from Cuttlebug and Darice. Chinese character punch is from All Night Media.
